1. Bandorama is tomorrow night, April 1st, in the fieldhouse at 7 pm, and it features the Lakeland Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and the WLMS and OVMS 6th and 7th grade bands.  Admission is free and EVERYONE is welcome to attend!!!  Band members who are performing need to report at 6:45 pm.

 

  1. Trivia Night – April 17th is our Trivia Night.  Attention All Parents/Band Families.  Come on out to our band Trivia night in the LHS Cafeteria on Friday, April 17th at 7 pm.  This is our first Trivia Night Event and we want this to be a huge success and a great time for everyone!  Please sign up online (see attached flyer) and consider bringing your friends/relatives to come play at your table.  Bring your own snacks and drinks (alcohol not permitted) and see if you can out do the other tables with your spread of snacks/desserts/whatever food you want!!!  We will have drawings throughout the night as well as the actual trivia event.  Come out and enjoy the night with us!
  2. Oakland Yard Golf-Dome Take Down:  Attention Marching Band Families.  We need your help.  Each year we use Oakland Yard for practices twice a year.  In return, Oakland Yard gives us a practice for free (valued at approximately $900, and we help them take down their smaller dome each spring.  This event is on Saturday, April 25th, from 9:30 – 1:30 pm.  We need every parent and student that can help.   It is a slow process that involves removing the metal beams, fasteners for the dome, removing the portable restroom area, and rolling the dome tarps up.  It is a very detailed process that really just needs lots of parents and students.   I am asking you all to please help out with this process.  We have already used our free practice so we are doing this in return for time from last fall, and we want to continue having this opportunity to save this kind of money with Oakland Yard.  We’ve been practicing there for over 20 years.

Please look for a sign up genius for this in the near future.  Please come out, parents and students, if possible.  IF not, anyone who can come is welcome.
