Greetings:
We are launching our annual SnapRaise online campaign drive to raise funds for the bands at Lakeland and IA. The representative will come in on Tuesday to speak to our classes (I will go over the details with the IA B Day band on Wed.) and we will begin our campaign right away.
Aside from announcing the fundraiser, I want to remind everyone that fundraising for this is NOT a requirement but we are asking everyone to please consider participating. Last year we reached almost $9700 in fundraising from this one fundraiser alone!!! We are working to raise funds every year for all sorts of needs for the program, but the most immediate is always new instruments. We are working to purchase new Tubas, new saxophones and bass clarinets, and much more. These instruments cost $1000’s of dollars and we need your help.
The campaign involves sending out word through social media (FB as an example) and through email contacts that students can share the campaign details with through their account during the fundraiser launch. All this does is send the recipient notification of our website that is created by the company online to show them our campaign. It is a sponsorship/donation drive where people can donate funds to our program.
Several area schools in addition to our program are participating in this program. It is very easy and a great way to share the word about our bands and ask for help with your friends, family, relatives, and contacts. It allows us to reach globally without a fundraiser that involves selling door to door, selling items at mom and dad’s work, etc. It really takes just a few minutes for each person to help us be successful.
It has been extremely successful in just our first 2 years, and we hope you will support us with this once again. If you do not want your student to participate, we completely understand. If you are willing, it is super easy and simple for them to set up and participate in, and we do all of this in a matter of minutes via their Social media outlets. We thank you for your support. We want to make it a goal to break $12,000 this year, so please consider participating and helping spread the word with our campaign starting Tuesday, October 2. Thank you all!!
